Pet Calendar Winners are announced!

8th November, 2011

Entry for the Pet Calendar Competition, which has been running to raise funds for Rakemark Respite and Guide Dogs for the Blind, has now been closed and it’s been an exciting week at the Practice as we have learnt which pet photographs have caught the Judges’ eyes.

After much deliberation, 12 winning pictures have been selected  for individual calendar month positions. But the Judges felt there were so many good entries, that their favourite runners up will also feature in a montage on the Calendar Front Cover.

Here are some of the comments and thoughts from the judges as they considered the pictures.

“We are looking for pictures which reflect  the spirit of the Olympics and participation”

“We particularly like photographs where we think the entrants have made tremendous efforts to show activity and movement.”

“We also wanted  to see rich colours in the photographs  which would be pleasing  to look at”

“We felt each picture should be able to stand alone as a great photograph”.

And finally we have tried to select pictures that we thought would be appropriate for each month through 2012.

The winning entries are now going to print and we will inform each winner individually and let you know when prizes are ready for collection.

In the meantime take a look at the entries the judges selected......
